Red victory city components
-
All,
I am watching videos and I see them using generic red 3d victory cities.
Can someone tell me where to get these?
Thx

They are done by Ebard and shapeways. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/ebardmodels
Here’s a thread talking about them. They are not red though, you’ll have to paint them.

Actually, I did stumble upon this but the videos I saw had a red generic looking victory city.
Those ones references above are too expensive for me.
Thx

I haven’t looked at the video, so I don’t know how generic the red victory cities look…but one potentially adequate low-cost solution is to buy a copy of the standard edition of Monopoly, which features red hotels that, from a distance, could be interpreted as looking vaguely like an official White House-type building (except for the colour, obviously). I think that there are 12 hotels per game box, so you might want to get two sets.

I believe the generic VC’s come from a certain Risk game although I can’t remember which one.

Search for “Monopoly houses” on Amazon. You can get them in various colors. A 50-pack (one color) can be had for $9.99. Personally, I use red for capitals and blue for all other victory cities, but there are many other colors from which to choose.

Do you mean Risk: Metal Gear Solid?

This actually raises an interesting possibility: using one colour to identify which VCs are being controlled by the Allies at a particular point in the game and another colour to identify which VCs are being controlled by the Axis. Sort of a low-tech version of the custom board whoch someone here produced, in which different lights could be switched on and off to show who controls which VCs.

All,
Thanks for all the suggestions!! I just ordered 50 red monopoly houses for $9.99 on Amazon.
Should work out nicely.
Thx
