Hi all.
Excuse me if i post this topic in the wrong date. Click here to found notices about this battle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Nikolayevka
In the bottom of the page, you found also the origin of my nickname: italian words “Sergente nella Neve” means “Sergeant in the snow”.
Peace.

The Russian front was the worst place to fight in all the world wars. The bitter weather, and the staunch fighting, took a heavy toll on all the desperate men and women who struggled to survive there. Far too many people vanished there. All for naught. What a terrible waste of lives and meterial.
Are you a member of the modern "Alpini "Corps?
No, I’m not.
I’m only an history buff, a peace-lover, a normal man. I choiced this nick because I love this book very much. It was a very sad page for the italian history.
Great post!
really interesting thanks. :-)
