The Russian front was the worst place to fight in all the world wars. The bitter weather, and the staunch fighting, took a heavy toll on all the desperate men and women who struggled to survive there. Far too many people vanished there. All for naught. What a terrible waste of lives and meterial.Are you a member of the modern "Alpini "Corps?
