I assumed you didn’t want to intercept based on the fact I had you outnumbered 3 to 1 and you didn’t intercept before (IIRC), if you wanted to intercept just roll the dice here on the forum and if you hit, we will just remove the roll that did the most damage (6).

Also if you remember I wanted to try this game because I had a strategy I wanted to try, while it hasn’t really worked for Germany directly, so much spending by the US in the Atlantic has allowed Japan to get massive despite a late DOW. If you are ok with it, I would like to start a fresh game and forget this one, I think the game is still winnable by both sides, and all I was looking for was viability with variability, and I have other options I would like to try.

You were right that I would not have intercepted in India.
I am not sure if I am the right guy to test out German strategies on. I believe that Germany can only win by defeating Russia, and therefore I always have the USA concentrate on building in the Atlantic where they can slow Germany.
In the Pacific I use a bend, not break strategy. I feel that it is very difficult for Japan to actually win for the Axis, and running wild over the Chinese does not do it. I don’t really want to start another game with you when this one is just starting to get interesting. It is actually pretty historical with the Japanese at their high water mark and the Americans just invading North Africa.
I am interested to see how far Japan can go. They have 5 carriers in the Pacific, and the USA only has 3, so there is a lot of game left. But, if you want to quit this one, I guess you can do what you want.

Well my calculation showed only 57% chance of success, and I knew I could retreat after the first round, but I got 3 more hits than average and you got 3 less hits than average.
I thought when I ran it on my turn that I showed you had like a 35% chance, I probably screwed up and had the Italians defending with them.

I would try one of my strategies, but you mention you spend heavy on the Atlantic with America always, which would conteract my experimental plays with Germany. Which leaves Japan trying to experiment but that is just not really doable. Im happy to play another round with you, just not sure anything new I have to try with how you play :)

Well, I have plenty of games going otherwise, and we have already played 2 league games, so let’s put our series on hold until later. I want to mostly just play league games from now on. Best wishes to you, and I hope you have success with your German experiments! :wink:
