I attacked Ethiopia and your Italians fought very bravely, scoring 3 out of 3 hits. After the first round, I thought I clicked on “retreat”, but for some reason the system only retreated my tactical, not the tank (not sure how that happened). So, I corrected it in edit mode to have my tank retreat, and replacing one of your infantry that died mistakenly in round 2, which I never wanted to engage in. Sound good?

Your tank couldn’t retreat because it came from a transport and so thus cannot retreat. Because of that I will just edit out your tank for the mech.

Here’s a rules question for you: Can you Italian tank blitz through Trans-Jordan (combat) AND move into Iraq (non-combat) all in one turn?

You guys should have an official answer in a minute. I don’t think you can as one move is combat and the other NCM……but I am always getting this wrong. Typically if the Triple A program allows it then it is ok, there are a few exceptions that AAA get’s wrong but not many.

As I review the 2nd ed rules, it appears to specify that only units that did not move during combat movement may move during non-combat movement. It also specifies that movement into a friendly neutral is a non-combat move. But I will certainly bow to whatever official ruling comes down.

I agree with you two . If Iraq is FN, then you cannot move there in CM, which attacking TJ necessitates. Iraq is not attabinable, unless you have another Tank or a Mech two spaces from it, when the Non com phase begins.

You guys certainly seem correct. No official ruling needed for me Joe, seems like I was wrong, proceed and if somehow something changes I will let you alter what you need :) I will say that it seems to go against the flow of tanks. My tank could blitz forward to TJ and come back to Egypt if it wanted but not go on… Unless of course it was going to Syria. Seems weird but I’m sure there was some reason they made it so, that had to do with balance.
