    I’m pretty sure that the Mongolians need to be edited as joining Russia.

    Also, if you try a strafe attack against Norway with Italy first, please ask for OOL. For instance, I was saving the AAA for Germany in the first go around, not Italy  :-D

    Also, when I have bombers anywhere being attacked I usually don’t factor them as a casualty, just hope they roll a lot of 1s. So if you try a strafe on Germany’s next turn, no bomber hit please.

    That is factually incorrect. Russia can DOW on Japan and it has no effect on the Mongolia rule. Only if Russia attacks Japanese controlled territory that borders Mongolia or attacks Korea.

    Check the rule book for the Additional Rules section. Russia can remain at war with Japan…as long as certain territories aren’t attacked, Mongolians can still join Russia. You attacked via edit, you must edit the Mongolians into Russia

    page 39 of the Pacific 40 2nd edition rule book.

  • Look at round 9, You retook the territory Chahar from Japan, a territory that borders Mongolia.  As per page 39 of the Pacific Rule Book, “This occurs regardless the state of relations between the Soviet Union and Japan at the time of the attack, with one exception: If the Soviet Union attacks Korea or any Japan-controlled territory bordering these [Olgiy, Dzavhan, Tsagaan-Olom, Central Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, and Buyant-Uhaa] Mongolian territories while Mongolia is still strict neutral.

    It appears to me you broke the pact, meaning they will remain strict neutral until such a time as one of us directly attacks them, turning them and all other strict neutrals into Pro-Allies/Axis.

    If I somehow misinterpreted that let me know, for now I wont edit it in, though.

    @Tirano:

    Look at round 9, You retook the territory Chahar from Japan, a territory that borders Mongolia.  As per page 39 of the Pacific Rule Book, “This occurs regardless the state of relations between the Soviet Union and Japan at the time of the attack, with one exception: If the Soviet Union attacks Korea or any Japan-controlled territory bordering these [Olgiy, Dzavhan, Tsagaan-Olom, Central Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, and Buyant-Uhaa] Mongolian territories while Mongolia is still strict neutral.

    It appears to me you broke the pact, meaning they will remain strict neutral until such a time as one of us directly attacks them, turning them and all other strict neutrals into Pro-Allies/Axis.

    If I somehow misinterpreted that let me know, for now I wont edit it in, though.

    Similarly no hard feeling, we play a game with a 40 page rule book, no surprise that occasionally we mess up a rule :)

    If I realized you were referring to Chahar, I would not have mentioned it the 2nd time. I misinterpreted comments about Russia declaring war on Japan first.

    I made a really awful blunder by Russia going into Chahar. Wish I didn’t do that.
