Hi! Do you have any fun stories or moments from the forum before I joined that you’d like to share? Thank you!
Jen takes over 1st place

@Cmdr:
7-10 lets me at least be competitive
Wow
That’s a lot to keep track of.
-
It can be. But you’ll notice that most games just fall into a rhythm. Allies go for Berlin, Axis go for Africa and Moscow. Once you get past the first 4 rounds, it’s pretty much autopilot unless something drastic happens.

THAT’S why I don’t particularly like straight revised games.
You can NOT used autopilot in Enhanced games

Darlin, how many enhanced leagues do we have on this forum? :P
-
There are other places to get Enhanced games (AH ~ gleemax, AAMC, etc)
Slowly we’ll get the A&ARe player base growing here too. :-) :-) :-)
-
I think its pretty simple. The more VCs the less autopilot gameplay.
Of course once you get to a certain number of VCs its stupid so you’ve got to add the complexity of variable weight.Too bad AARHE is not likely to make an impression.
Its just not very PBEM or PBF friendly. -
I’d like to see major and minor VCs. A major VC counts as 1, but it takes 3 minor VCs to equal one major VC. Any territory worth 2 or more would be a minor VC unless it’s designated a major VC.
This means Egypt and S. Africa would be minor VCs. Archangelsk, Novosibirsk, Kazakh as well. W. Russia, Ukraine, Balkans, E. Europe again. China/Sinkiang. Etc.

This discussion has moved into the “variant” topic area.
I would suggest that continuation of the alternate VC subject be taken up in that topic area.

I may STILL make it to 20K before Jen…
I have a 99 post lead, and only 84 posts to make 20K…After that, Jen can post all he wants and slip ahead of me… I intend to re-claim my LIFE… starting Saturday with a trip to Yadkin Valley’s Wine Country… 2 new wines and a new distillery being launched this weekend… HAPPY TIMES! :-D
-
Yea, but blitzing for a post count isn’t exactly playing above board. :P
-
Which your post and this one are just about…
GG
-
Well, that’s what this entire thread is about. :P
-
Well Jen, you may yet beat me. You had a good day for posts, and tomorrow I will be away from this machine and sampling wine and having a late Valentine celebration with Angel.
Grassy Creek is debuting their 2006 Klondike Guernsey Red (a wine named for one of the 3 cows that accompanied Admiral Byrd to the Antarctic that came from the land on which Grassy Creek Winery now resides).
West Bend is debuting their 2007 Merlot
And Buck Shoals is celebrating their new Distillery permit with several Port wines as well as the initial roll out of Spirits.
It is likely to be a lovely day… :-D

Helps when I cannot go to school and get bored sitting at home.
Kinda wish my opponents were more active so I could play more rounds!
-
You may every well slip ahead of me before 20K.
I really DO intend to take my life back in the coming months and DRAMATICALLY reduce my posting here.
Congratulations in advance for taking over “top poster” status.
-
I doubt it, you blitzed something like 150 posts in a day. :P I don’t do that kind of stuff, I’m more methodical.
Anyway, my computer is broken, won’t get it back for 2 weeks (to replace a bloody fan, go figure? Why can’t fans be field replacable in laptops???) So I’m using my husband’s and he has Vista and it is ROYALLY pissing me off. Asking me three times for permission to rename files, gods forbid I actually DELETE something!

She’s satirizing people with polytheistic beliefs… Jen you Religious Racist!

Nah, Jen has just seen the light and knows that it makes more sense to have multiple deities, with the universe split male/female instead of only 2 deities with the universe split good/evil.
(and it always has shocked the heck out of me that Christians fail to acknowledge that Satan is a divine entity… he is God’s counter part in their pantheon, a divine entity with the strength and power to challenge God directly without fear for his own existence or power, as seen in the story of Job.)
