If you’re still looking for a solution, provided you still have a brick and mortar video store nearby, you could take the disc into them and have them put it in the disc polisher to cut through those scratches. Most of the time they used to do it free of charge too since they couldn’t be sure if it would work.

There is: Download and install TripleA and the maps you are interested in. After launching TripleA hit “Play Online” to join the so-called “Lobby”.
