I went when I was really young. I think I mainly visited resorts and amusement parks.
I has snow!

@Cmdr:
If you are cold, you are wrong. There is no cold. There are only varying degrees of heat. Something can be less warm then something else, but nothing can be cold. Even absolute zero is the absence of all heat, not the maximum of all cold.
How can it be that the absence of heat still dictates that there is no cold?
Is there only light and no darkness, with absolute dark being no light at all?
Feeling cold is relative, anyway.
But that brings me to something else. What’s the point of stating the temperature and then the windchill? Why not, for all practical purposes, just say the windchill. I’d much rather know that it feels -10 degrees Fahrenheit, than it’s windy at 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
Actually, Jermo, that’s correct.
You have lums of illumination. You have degrees of heat. There’s a lot of things you only have one of and no absence measurement at all. You don’t measure the degree of cold because cold is a descriptive term, it does not really exist but is used to indicate to someone else how YOU feel.
-
why wont it stop with the snow already?!
-
It was 72 here today…
No snow :-(
Punxs’y Phil was wrong…

@ncscswitch:
I just want to know who decided to weigh diamonds as a specific vegetable… and what idiot farmer they used since his carrots were only a fraction of a gram (not even a morsel for Bugs Bunny!)
I assume you are joking, but I can’t help it I’m a trivia nut…
Carats are actualy based on a seed, the Carob seed.
-
I surrender. No more snow, please! We got 9 inches last Friday and another 14 inches yesterday and they’re calling for 3 more tonight!
-
I could make a comment about how women usually want a couple of extra inches, but once you get THAT much (23 to 26 inches), then it isn’t fun anymore
-
Just heard, we’re getting 3-6" tonight……I think my snow-plower I just got last Christmas is going to go on strike and move to warmer climates :(
And to think, I only got it because Sean’s going out on deployment to the Persian Gulf for 9 months. (My husband, US Navy.) He wanted to give me a break so I didn’t have to ask my neighbors to help, but dang, I’ve already burned a gallon of gas and I only have a 1 car driveway!!! (Yes, I’m poor. I have a 46" TV, but according to the government, I’m impoverished. Aint statistics grand?)
Sigh…
More snow.
If I find Al Gore, I am going to kick his butt and ask him when this global warming is supposed to kick in! I WANT 50 DEGREE WEATHER GOSH DANGIT!
-
At least 3-6 inches is doable (even if it is not pure pleasure).
But 23" inches is PAINFUL
-
any inches of snow is painful.
but in novemeber or december i’m so happy when it snows. how stupid of me. this white shit sucks.
-
I normally enjoy snow. But I’ve had enough of it for a year!
-
I love Oakland.
crime>snow. :-P 8-)
-
Yeah, but you can’t carry guns…
GG
-
@Guerrilla:
Yeah, but you can’t carry guns…
GG
Says you….
-
Remember, Concealed Carry restrictions only say you can’t hide the gun. You can still put on a John Wayne style holster and walk down Park Avenue. :)

Hey Switch… I was talking to someone from the midwest yesterday and telling them I had a stromboli for lunch. They were like “a what?!?” :-D ~ZP
-
Is a stromboni like a Zamboni? 8-)
-
Stromboli is an AWESOME food…
There are two versions…
one with marinara sauce inside, and the TRUE version w/ marinara on the side as an optional dip (for those who wish to disgrace the stromboli). -

Did you really have to do that joke twice? :-P
-
it was -30 degrees this morning, with wind chill factored in. so it was cold and 20 mph winds. why?
