    I was just afraid of accidentally progressing it too far so I wanted to do a trial run first.  I guess you can’t see the post option in local mode so it wasn’t helpful though.

    It ended badly but I thought it was a reasonable risk at the time.

    Probably not. You weren’t likely to take the territory and the transports were forfeit. I would have wanted a good crack at taking down the IC before I thought it was worth it. Also, no ground troops are getting to the Pacific for the USA any time soon. Perhaps you don’t have much use for ground troops though.

    So I can see the merit in the move. It would have been a close call. I like to keep the powder dry on putting Korea into Soviet hands, so USA can take it.
