Does Finland have coastal access to SZ 127 (North of Karelia)?

Was not sure looking at the map.

Yes Finland has access to SZ 127.

If you have the 2nd edition boards the income tracker is obscuring this but the answer is yes.

thats right ,Finland only touches sz 127 up north.Also Norway does not touch sz 127.

@nubnumber1 just like a fighter unit in A&A is meant to represent many aircraft,think of a destroyer unit representing a group (flotilla I think is the term) of destroyers.Military history has many examples of small,yet determined, forces delaying the progress of larger forces. eg 101st airborne in Bastogne dec 1944

UK taking Norway if it doesn’t hold it for a turn doesn’t rob Germany of any income.

If Norway is empty and the British ships are safe and have nothing better to do, I’d still take it with 1 inf. It’s worth 3 which already pays for an inf that probably wasn’t doing much in the UK anyway and now has a 1 in 3 chance of killing an enemy unit when attacked. Also, Germany will want it back so they will send at least 2 ground units which won’t be going east, and they need to protect their transports in SZ 113 from UK-based Allied bombers, or maybe even tacs/fighters if the UK has a CV.
And once Germany has retaken it, why not try again and kill those units on the next UK turn and force them to invest again to keep Norway.

I moved in with 2 carrier 2 dd bship cruiser 4 fighter.

i used the bship from pacific and cruiser. union africa dd.

after that was easy to get the rest. dd carrier fig. dd carrier fig. dd carrier fig.

also you can sink italy no problem… your air reaches everywhere. :D

also if usa has a small atlantic fleet, may as well chuck it into 97 after merging the two. usually I have something for atlantic… I don’t buy transports with usa anymore in the atlantic. It is all about convoy disruption combined with +15-+19 NO money for russia. getting air into russia… bombers are nice. with bombers you can bomb all the ics, hit germany mech/tanks, pretty much just cheese and be lame is what I do.

I mean this is not aa50 where the most optimal strategy is to double stack uk and usa on france or northwestern europe. it don’t really work out for allies most of the time ESPECIALLY IN LOW LUCK GAMES. There is no way you can get a foothold in time.

Shut em down in 97 is much more realistic followed up with usa air into russia. +15-19 NO for russia from africa. pacific eventually you park in japan to convoy disrupt or trade naval/take islands back in dutch.

check it out if you have enough naval to drop in normandy, those could instead be in 97 doing -10 a round no transports necessary.

Also, the UK could actually declare war on Japan UK 1, which would result in them convoy raiding Siam for -1 IPC on Japan’s next turn. However, UK declaring war would not bring USA into the conflict and would allow Japan many more possibilities against UK and ANZAC before the US could help them. Not a good idea just to take 1 IPC from Japan.

Also, in Alpha3 it’s a roll of a dice, so it’s possible that the battleship will roll above a 3 and not even deduct the value of Siam (1).
