And it begins….
Solution to the LL vs ADS Debate
-
@Crazy:
Well Jen, you have over-complicated LL again!
Until you play it ,
you shouldn’t try to sway it.
It really is quite sweet,
to intice us to compete.
while the luck is still enough,
to fear the risky stuff.
It doesn’t sway the way,
dicey makes your hair turn grey.
Now I’m not one to banter,
one to critisize or cry,
but dicey is for those classic players
who only know to live on luck or die.
Where Low luck is for the new strategists,
with the cunning of Plantangenists.
It is the future of dice gaming,
it is here, and it will stay,
and become more popular
every gaming day.
Embrace the future
or be confined to an ever deminishing group of old players.
Change is never easy, especially as we get older.
See you around the LL games! :-D
who calculate andinteresting poem….

Look at the buttons above the smileys. One of them shows moving text.
“Select” the text you want to move, then click the ‘moving text’ button :-)
-
:-D
Thanks Amon-Sul. I dabble in poety. It was late and I didn’t edit this one, so it is pretty rough, but I got my point across I think.
Ohh you shouldn’t have explained moving smiles, now I’m gonna play with em. -
I like LL. It seems a perfect balance between strategy and luck.

LL can be easily solved by obtaining a copy of Hungry Hungry Hippos. The person who eats more pieces wins and nobody can complain about dice.
-
You know where can I get a copy of that?
I want to send it to Jen for a B-Day present.
For when she Bombs, Bombards and those other “B” words she does a lot! :-P
Ohh… I’m in for it now. :-o -

Playing cards for randomization (keeping Ace-6) maybe 2 or 4 packs shuffled together. Each card is just as random as a d6 (without knowing the other). All together keep the average guaranteed. Maybe shuffle them all back when few of them (say <10) remain in the deck to prevent “knowing” the remainder is better/worse if the history so far has been worse/better.
-
:-D
Ah-Ha! the luck of the cards! :-o
I don’t have much of that either.
seems like someone got hollared at about keeping those damn dice quiet if you have to play that damn game all nite long :-D.
But yes, that seems like it would work just as well. -
Why not just play poker to solve Axis and Allies Battles?
Each player posts small blind of one infantry
Cash out the IPC of each army into chips
This is no limit BTW…
Play the hand and it will be less luck than dice.

It’s a lot easier to cheat with cards than dice.
Not that a pristine fellow like myself would know of course. I, um, heard it from, um, TV, yeah, that’s it.
