    @ncscswitch:

    @Cmdr:

    I’m more convinced with the bacterial evidence we found then the face on mars or the statue.

    Actually, the “bacteria” found on Mars in the late 1970’s by Viking were terrestrial and hitched a ride on Viking…

    I said I was more convinced, hun.  Not that I was convinced. :P

  • DF, that was funny as hell!!!  That made my evening! :mrgreen:

  • @M36:

    Why do we give a sh*t? Next thing you know people are gonna be like “SEND IN THE MARINES!”

    That one picture kind of looks like the Marines are already there :-P

  • Great, another pic of possible life on mars…  :wink:

    I don’t get why people can’t understand that there is and never was inteligent life on mars. The way I belive it, was there was water, all those vallys, canyons, and the eveidence shows there was water. And mabye even early forms of life untill mars’ unstable atmostsphere was swept away. Anyone know how the "life on mars " got started? I do, basically, a french guy studied the planet, saw those valleys and such and when he told people about it, he said there was canalies ( valleys or something in french) on mars. Incompitant people mistranslated it to canals …(panama was being built at the time) which are manmade, so it started if there is canals on mars, then some form of inteligent life must have created them …whula…martions.  :roll:

    I’m interested in and read alot of astronomy. So what, wanta fight about?..sorry I’m watching family guy  :lol:

    @dezrtfish:

    Look at this immage I found, it looks like something vaguely familier…

    Nice one! LMFAO!  :lol:

    Well, I think I see the Holy Trinity.

    That looks like the virgin too! Hallelujah, Haaal leee lujahhhhhhh cough cough.

  • I want a new picture taken in a week. If that thing moves or is gone you people are gonna have some explaining to do.

    It looks too much like something else to be a rock.

  • :roll: soooo, bigfoot made it to Mars now?

  • Yes, everyone knows that the only “intelligent” life is here on Earth.

    (turns on TV set)

  • You must have been tuning into national geographic’s program on penguins, they are the only species on the planet that stays loyal to one mate for their whole lives. Thats intelligence that people don’t posses.  :wink:

  • Yeah, we need to colonize mars before the commies do

    btw, M36 thx for using my quote + I just figuired out why you have M36 as your name, I orignialy thaught it was a reference to the M36 Jackson Tank Destroyer, but know I am conviced it is something completly different. Of course still military related.

    You know what is strange, why don’t they just drive the rover right up to the thing and take a photo of it, so we can know? They are probably going to head off to another part of the planet and do some more “exploring”, due to “technical reasons” and give Hollywood a free reign for the next 183 years to think of stories about the “statue” when we can actually make some progress off my/your tax dollars, and find out if were seeing a statue or just a jetisoned martian dumpster…

    GG

  • Hahaha Emperor, 36 is actually a nickname I picked up at Paris. It’s my IQ. :wink:

    Well GG, the way I see it, its either this statue on the news, or Hillary Clinton’s face. I’ll take the statue.

  • Moderator

    Yeah exactly…

    All I’m saying is that NASA should guarantee us that they will go close to it and “thoroughly investigate”…

    GG

  • through investigation might not be the best move.

    Mars has this habit of destroying missions there (50% failure rate on Mars Missions).

    Well, perhaps it is not Mars itself, but something else in the area, such as the object seen in the last transmission from Phobos 1 in 1989.

    Very interesting…

  • Moderator

    Maybe it will be worthwhile to have a failure to “probe”. I don’t mind having missions going in, just make them worthwhile…

    GG

  • How about this, lets STOP sending missions to a lifeless planet and get me a dragon skin instead! :-o That way I won’t end up like Mars!

  • Moderator

    Good idea, I’d give you more then a dragon skin for that matter. Exoskeletons anyone?

    But then again, the possibility to deport all “violently” minded individuals to Mars (circumventing your need to wear the uniform) definitely does make planetary exploration an appealing idea…

    GG

  • Thats actually plausible GG, because the money spent on space ventures reaches into the billions. I wouldn’t mind being bulletproof and being able to carry a battery of M203s and M240s instead of an M4.
