Yeah, I think last US turn I could have hit Tokyo instead of Korea. The dice went against you in the round 1 Yunnan attack. I’ve never lost planes to take the territory when this happens, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it. In your case, it may not have been enough. If China holds Yunnan, that’s pretty bad for the Axis. I’m not sure the round 2 Burma attack was worth the planes lost. I think there was another attack which cost you a few planes too. Not quite sure why you wouldn’t have claimed Java and Celebes round 2? Shooting for India perhaps. I’m not really convinced that the J1 attack is optimal in BM, or perhaps even vanilla.

J1 in vanilla is a no brainer. In BM3 it’s not as good, but it’s still an option.

J1 is never a no brainer. It is a nice option if you have a cunning plan. In this game BSD you lost the game because of your J2 Burma attack. It was not required

Well, the real reason is i forgot to block the SZ off Burma with my J fleet so I had my turn 3 India plunder. I straffed Burma and forgot the dd and let him block India.

Right, that would have been pretty game changing. Makes sense why you hit Burma now. Also makes sense why you didn’t worry about claiming the money islands turn 2.
