    Deadly air battle over Japan.  What are the odds?  3 Amer bombers intercepted by 3 Jpn ftrs and both sides rolled snake eyes.  1/6 x 1/6 = 1/36 for each times both opponents = 1/1296?  I hadn’t planned on continuing the strat bombing, since AA losses had reduced the number of bombers to that of the potential defending ftrs.  But the odds of hits was low, ha.  Only one AA hit for all my bombing attacks, but my planes rolled low dice.  I added TB in Persia attack to increase odds if Ger intercepted.  But TBs don’t get the 2 point bonus, so a low die roll would mean the damage to a base could be ignored.  Mine rolled a 1.

    I liked it better when Japan was supinely waiting.  Actually, I 've known that Japan, though temporarily contained, had a powerful fleet and air that could  expand again if not tightly guarded.  Now Germany is bringing more air power to Italy.  This game is still a toss up.  I won’t be home until this evening to take my turn.


  • Nobody kills me off , without my say so. I will announce when I am dead.
    Actually, I realised afterwards, I could have parked off Borneo. Did not have the time to double check if the fleet was safe from all the Air t in Asia . I have lost my penultimate TT now. Perhaps I should have gone with both TTs and taken Java. Can’t remember if I had that in mind when  I moved down last turn. I had bombardments too.
    Is hard to concentrate on this game amd my vision  is not as good as it should be.
