    Perfectly fine.  It doesn’t change results at all.  You had 4 hits the second round against my lone sub.  I’ll edit it when I get to Italy.  Unfortunately, that’ll probably be tomorrow afternoon.

    hey snigg question for you.

    remember last turn when the japs attacked guam?  i could or could not scramble. i chose not too… what would have happened if i would have scrambled???  i am not sure how that works with an island with no other troops and a scramble since i have never seen it before…

    It would have started a naval combat that would have had to be resolved before the ground combat could take place.  If the fighter would have somehow beaten the 2 planes and destroyer (I think that’s what I had in the sea zone), then the transports would have had to retreat from the zone before they could unload.  That said, if the fighter was lost in the sea battle (which by the odds it would have been), then the land combat in Guam would have been a walk in.

    It was the choice of going for a higher value target (minimum value of destroyer was 8) vs. a chance to defeat the land combat with a lower value target probably being taken in exchange (inf or art).  Though there’s the chance that a miss in the first round by the 2 2’s and 1 3 would give you chance to take out 2 units (meaning I’d have to choose between a plane or the second land unit if it came to that).

    Meh…it’s a gamble either way.  You actually cost me more than you probably would have if you scrambled the way it played out.  I’d have either lost a fighter or destroyer vs. the fighter and infantry I did lose.  Game on!
