This is only my second game of BM as axis. I should have paid more attention to the vichy rules on Germany’s turn. I looked at it now and just realized I needed to take Normandy too. That makes this turn more complicated.
I wouldn’t worry about Vichy too much. It has certainly merits but is has certainly also merits not to activate Vichy.

Yeah, it seemed to me that there were some definite advantages for the axis to not go vichy, given that you could deny income to the allies (and I am seeing this in the other game with rubioton). I think in this case, I was planning my moves on the assumption that Vichy would happen and then realized that taking Normandy was another condition of it.

The main reason I avoid Vichy is, because it makes G1 or I1 way more risky.
And even if you want to go for it. UK can always prevent it by saccing the 98 transport.
