Apologies about that; I had finished up to scramble, and my brother in law came over to visit, was looking - wanted to know if that was really Axis and Allies, and how it worked; the scramble screen was up, so I was explaining a combat turn and belatedly realized that it was feeding you dice e-mails. I didn’t want you to get dice e-mails that might be bad for me that were “pre-scramble orders” that could get rerolled later, so I uploaded it quickly because I had to jet out the door with my note that you could change it if you liked.

Well, you were trading me a destroyer for a sub with the sz16 trades, so I figured I better get some submarines out there to hassle you more. I’m going to try getting in my turn this morning; was really busy yesterday.

Stupid Italian fighters and bombers look the same. Should have been bomber to Tunisia and fighters to Germany, not the other way - fighters can’t make it back to Italy, and I certainly wouldn’t leave them in Africa to get invaded. Dice results don’t change anything. I5 posted.

Can you clarify scramble defense for me?
I did an internal dice roller setup with two bombers (for Russian factory), two tactical bombers (for Russian airfield), and three fighters as escort, but the the dice results didn’t make a lot of sense.
-I scrambled all three of your jets.
-It rolled 6 dice for the defender, so I’m guessing any scrambled plane gets one shot at every attacking plane? Would one scrambled defensive plane get 6 shots?
-It rolled three dice for the attacker, all of which hit, but only two planes died, then it had three planes of mine die.Or I am misreading how that works, and every attacking plane gets a shot at the scrambled defenders, and each scrambled defensive plane gets one shot total?
I’m going to playtest it a bit more (I didn’t save it prior to the scramble, so I have to redo my turn to test different number of planes), but in case I get an answer here before I figure it out…

Alright - I figured it out; first time confused me because I sent three fighters as escort, three fighters scrambling in defense, and while the game stopped on “attacker fires” and showed three 1s, that was apparently defensive fire.

After it pops that error message, my choices are “Roll again” or “Exit” which closes TripleA.
I tried the one under it and got a "Couldn’t connect to server error too.
Three choices:
1. Pause our game until TripleA works again.
2. Schedule us to go live on TripleA online if its even working right now? I’m not sure what time zone or country you’re in or how that might work - I’m in EST in the US; but I have tomorrow off, and most of the weekend.
3. Use the internal dice roller.Here’s my upload for Option #3; if you’d like to do something different, let me know. I’m struggling for my life in here, I just realized the value of submarines for embargo, and as I’ve said - the value of this game to me isn’t in winning, but in learning so that I don’t look like a putz next Friday in our real game and make the same kind of terrible rookie mistakes I’m making in this game here.

Apparently I forgot a carrier down in the money islands. :( Man, you punish every mistake I make.
I just realized that my german subs have been sitting around doing nothing the entire game, when at the very least they should have been blockading the UK and making you have to buy destroyers.

I’ve been learning. Time to working those subs and making you build destroyers. I also realized you could destroy another factory, so dropped another blocker in the Philippines to keep you away from FIC. I couldn’t block Malaya, so I had to make a lesser attack on Yunnan, which puts me off India for another turn or two, but at least it’ll be costly if you try for Malaya now. I learned my lesson on the first destroyed factory. Or the third. =p

Here is the save again. All up to italy now.
What am I missing here? I did the battle calculator on Yunnan, which is why I moved what I did there - and China had a 0% chance of winning. Not even 1%, just straight 0%. How did China win that?
