Based on the outcome of the dice at Cairo, (UK fighters only rolled 1/3 hits on the land battle), it’s in your interest to opt for a re-roll sea battle. Perhaps they throw 3 hits 1st round and Germany’s sea units/planes throw a whiff, then you have a chance to win the sea battle and keep Cairo.
It’s not game over for me if I were to lose that scenario. It would be a huge setback on the investment made, but in this game, I think Japan has the chance to create attention.
It’s my fault for not asking first if you wanted to scramble. This is a PBEM game; which means I need to have some patience.

I did not want to scramble anyway, I wanted you to attack Cairo, I just wanted maybe to hit at least 2 hits at 4 but oh well :-)

Despite the Cairo situation with the planes only getting 1 hit, you just had a nice victory in Romania though…no AAA hits (which is of course unlikely), and killed those tanks. 32 TUV score was definitely something to be happy about.
Well I am happy I won the battle, I had 52% and I told myself, If I don’t take the chance, I’ll have to start retreating with Russia and you would just start crushing me in Russia, these 8 tanks had to go… I took a risk and I am glad in went my way this time :-)
