Yes, I would have kept the destroyer in the sea battle for max defense; especially in a live game. It appears you were successful in doing a strafing run to knock out a Italian ship off the board with zero losses.
Got to see what you got left. Also Russia has 1%. I recall you complaining about a G1 France attack fail, same odds. :P

Very funny regarding my post about Paris fail! On a table top game…due to the time invested, I’d really hope that in a Paris fail situation for a friendly game something could be worked out. A good game would be more important to me.
My guess is that my odds for Moscow on G11 are in the mid-80s. If dice is close to LL, I think that will result in around 15 tanks left. If that amount or less (heck even 22 tanks), I’d understand your reasoning to fight on. It’s not guaranteed that Cairo could be captured. It’s a very long way to get there while the US is going near 100% at Germany. You could fight on! There is no time limit to a PBEM game!
Lastly, I was curious on Saturday and clicked through to a G11 Moscow as if all UK/Anzac fighters made it to Moscow (and they could have). In that scenario, the UK evacuated the med on round 9 to get carrier based fighters there…ect. Calcutta would have been re-captured (didn’t do that just clicked through to Moscow) with a good chance of defending against the UK if UK Pac forces evacuated.
When I rolled the practice Moscow round (I did 2x), Germany was left with only 7 tanks and 1 tank. Advantage to the allies would have been more time to slow Germany’s ground unit advances. Disadvantage of course would have Japan collecting India NO money and the UK fighting in the middle east without any starting fighters except for a 3 fighter build if you chose to do that.
I decided not to evac India as I am not interested in dealing with neutrals right now.
My calc had you at 99%. Yeah depending on how many tanks you got left determines if you can get a vc win in europe or not.
