    Italy rolled awful. SZ 96 was the worst, horrible.

    I really wanted to do Sea Lion, ran it as a practice, Germany won, but it required way too many things to go right in the practice round, like Italy succeeding with the first bombing on the UK Major IC…if SZ106 didn’t fail G1, and the situation was like it is on the board, I would tried for it; even if the end result would be a loss.

    I hope the dice keeps up for Japan. It’s only turn 1 and I don’t see Europe Axis creating a threat.

    Yes, in my practice, I was able to take UK London. I lost 2 planes total. Everything in the practice went perfect. Too much stuff.

    Italy bombed UK Major and took Gibraltar.

    Germany killed the destroyer/transport and landed on Gib. Those planes were used in the channel to negate a scramble. Same thing in my actual G2.

    Germany purchased 9 transports/1 artillery, 1 remaining, and also bombed London. In my practice Italy rolled a good bombing raid, so did Germany. Too many things having to go right…but in the actual PBEM game, the dice haven’t been favorable on the Europe board, SZ106 G1 horrible failure and then Italy’s turn, bomber for instance couldn’t roll a hit at SZ96. I went for the cautioned move Barbarossa after all.

    I am a fan of Sea Lion even if Japan does a J1 (especially if Japan has a successful J1 like I did in this game). I pulled that combo off once before. It was an easy victory. This was before I became more experienced and then cautious.

    Kamikaze? Scramble?

    You baited me into this. I can’t turn down  50/50 at that fleet when you scramble and if you hit 2x with kamikaze, and then if you do scramble 44% at Japan, I can’t pass it up. It has been awhile since I took Japan with USA.

    I screwed up. Thought I was safe or I would have left a blocker. I didn’t think the other planes on Hawaii could have a legal landing spot. Didn’t count the spaces for the carriers from US coast to come up north of Japan.

    Darn, oh well! May the dice be in favor in the sea battle, if not the land battle :)

    Use all Kamikazees, scramble both fighters.  OOL is the best defense possible for me.
