If it was a destroyer, there is no surprise attack, and the destroyer should fire first.
True, but that doesn’t change the fact that both attacking ships would be lost if both subs hit. :wink:
What happens to transports during an amphibious assault if the attacker fails? Say there are no defending naval units and only land and air units are in the territory being invaded, do the transports just automatically die or do they remain offshore?
Or if there are no air units left, can the land units destroy the transport?
No land units will not destroy the transports they stay alive and get ready to shuttle their next batch of combat units to there doom :-)
