I did save your planes and took the damage on the battleships and carriers first. The carriers where the first casualties so the planes where in the battle as long as possible. Then I took large chunks out of your fleet. The destroyer surviving wouldn’t have mattered.
Please realise it was a 20 USA vs 16 JAP unit battle. I had around 85% chance of winning.

I did save your planes and took the damage on the battleships and carriers first. The carriers where the first casualties so the planes where in the battle as long as possible. Then I took large chunks out of your fleet. The destroyer surviving wouldn’t have mattered.
