The dice were ridiculous. Rus attacked with 1 inf and a plane in 4 different terr, each with a single ground troop, 2-1 units, 4 attack 2 defense. In all 4 battles, both of my units missed in round 1, as did the defender. In all 4 battles in round 2, both of my units missed again, but every defender hit. So I lost all 4 battles with no surviving ground troops and the defenders lost none. In 2 cases, if I had attacked with an art instead of inf, I would have killed the defender. I can’t see how Rus could have bought or moved differently to prevent Ger from taking Cau in mass and still be strong enough to besiege Mos. Rus had to build cheap, slow ground units to defend Mos.

I was hoping for a trade-off in samara so i could block you from re-taking Stalingrad without expending Germans but other than that battle, it all went very well for me.

I didn’t put a dd by Java, because Jpn didn’t have enough ground troops to retake Sum w/o using troops from Java, which I didn’t expect. You gained 9 points. But ANZ can take Java and Jpn can’t take it back next turn. Was surprised that the US tt is still afloat by Guam, but it can’t go far. Glad that you are getting conductor experience. This game is basically over, but it takes a long time to actually get the victory cities.

Java was tough choice for that reason but a chance to kill a fig was good enough for me. I wanted a bombardment because i was only using one land unit so wanted to get the highest chance of stopping that US bonus. I’m shocked you think this game is over from your perspective. India is being a pain and Moscow is stacked. Atlantic landing forces are weak so i will still be able to spend plenty vs Russia yet but it will take time.

I took a closer look at how many ground troops you have in Kwang, after I attacked Yun and FIC and realized that you can counterattack with enough troops and air to force me to leave Shan. But now that allied bombers and figs are there, I can’t leave them without ground troops. Usually, I attack with more ground troops than I need and then roll well, but the large number of survivors, roll badly. I may end up being crushed in Burma in 2 turns.
