    I wanted Rus to attack Ger in Bry but it was only 25% chance of winning.  The odds won’t get better, with 4 Ger bombers to strat bomb and more tanks and mech coming every turn.  But with normal dice, I would lose 22 inf and Ger would only lose 17 inf/aa.  I would have stopped after one round, just to reduce Ger inf to make the other units more vulnerable.  I chose instead to retake Ukr, stopping 5 units from reinforcing Bry and preventing Ger from building there next turn.  Dice favored me.  I splurged on a fig to intercept strat bomb.  I can’t count on AA to hit.  Ger odds of taking Mos this turn are low.  My Siberian army will take another 2 turns to reinforce the defense.  May need Bri help.

    I’m in very comfortable situation as Japan. Fortunate early dice meant an easy, swift end to China. US will need to spend heavily on Europe side if it wants to sink Italy or land in W Europe. Even if you spent a good amount in San Francisco, I will be able to outpace you off Phil while still getting sufficient number of boots on the ground in continental SE Asia while easily trading DEI back and forth. Excluding China’s five IPCs(assuming Russia doesn’t help), I think I might have economic advantage at the conclusion of this round.

    I can’t seem to find an opening in the Pacific.  We never used Kamikaze in the prior games. Perhaps I was too defensive to be attacked.  Bri has blocked Ita from Africa and Mid East, but can’t overpower the Ita fleet, even tho Ita sent an army into Rus.  Now Ita is getting cash from Rus terr.  Bri can’t threaten Ger and Ita.  Ger and Jpn are both earning slightly more than U.S., so I can’t advance.

    The whole Ger fleet only cost convoy damage of 4 in Bri.  They must have had navigation problems or something.  Bri advances into Burma with the intention that ANZ will move a dd into blocking position by Malaya.  Bri built a 2nd cv in Med, going all out for Italy.

    That convoy roll was dismal. I just endured a minus-10 in bryansk when a positive-2 was expected and lost very valuable units. The dice pendulum is swinging towards you!

    The Rostov die roll in my favor was a small, but significant one that helps Rus and cost Ita and Ger.  Not only did it remove all 3 Ita mobile units (which can’t be replaced quickly, but at this point with Jpn coming from the east, may be moot) but Ger can’t blitz into Cau or attack Stalin.  Garrisoning 2 inf instead of 1 in crucial terr was worth it.  This naval arms race between Ita and Bri is straining Bri.
