A while back I read an old post about building an IC in Romania, probably not for Global. But I haven’t actually seen any game where it was done. Have you?
I’ve built a major there face-to-face once and i’ve considered a minor but have never went ahead with it.
Usually I would buy a total of 10 mechs/tanks to place in Germany on G2. They can make it to the Russian front for the G3 DoW. I have only seen a major factory purchase for Romania, allowing a large number of infantry+artillery to push to the front. A minor factory just takes too long to have any advantage over simply purchasing fast movers in Germany.
In the balance mod, the time is ticking on the Axis clock. The Allies get a significant income boost later in the game so patience no longer is no longer a good plan for Germany. Moscow is much more difficult to capture in BM, and driving troops down to Egypt usually gets problematic after reaching NW Persia.

When I play Europe, I always build armor and mech on T2 in Ger. But in Global, Rus gets more cash from the start, so I am trying something different. The combo of that and the IC in Rom are probably not a good idea.

Also, new is not taking FIC by T2 and not building trans on T1. Probably won’t wait this long again. There are so many iterations that it will take me more live games to figure out what I’m more comfortable with, and it’s not this opening for Japan. Building IC in China is good, which is why I waited on FIC, but could have done both.
Will move tomorrow. I think you have more time as Japan to mess with China because i dont use Indian TT to take a money island so im not makin much money anyway.

It’s frustrating playing Italy. Even tho Ger destroyed remaining Bri fleet in Med, Bri air and ships reappear. Ita fleet could amph to Mid East and withstand air attack from Egypt. But the Indian fleet combined with the Egypt air would have sunk the Ita. And the 4 land units would not have gained much, but would have been surrounded. The Ita army in Africa can be attacked from mobile units from the south, planes from Egypt, and amphib from the coast. They can’t be reinforced. Global 40 with bidding would be even worse. At least Ita got enough cash to build on T3.
