Now accepting signups for the 2017 playoffs
All players who want to be in the playoffs need to let me know by private message or in the league discussion thread (not this thread please) and I will sign you up. You will not be in the playoffs if you don’t sign up with me, even if you’re ranked #1. This is because not everyone who is in the top 8 and would qualify for the league playoff wants to play, so you must sign up.You may see who is signed up by looking at the game results spreadsheet - I made a new tab.
You need me to sign you up because I don’t want people to be able to delete someone else or any other funny business - it’s for everyone’s protection, you understand.
League rules state that the only requirement is that you have completed at least 3 games during 2017 in league play. All players with 3 games played may participate in the playoffs
You must sign up by December 30 so that players may begin on January 1.
Last year’s 2nd playoff champion (league championship game is in progress between RUBIOTON and ME1945) was Wittman, who advanced all the way from the PLAY-IN game!!

This might be a premature surrender, I have offered Oysteilo a week to reconsider if he wants to continue this battle. Seems like the right thing to do since I feel I definitely do not have the upper hand in this one.

The surrender stands
You are dropping 10 units in western europe every round, I can push through in the middle east, but i am not strong enough to force Russia to stay in Moscow if I do that. There might be options for Japan long term in this game, but China is making about 20 a round. In addition I wont be able to keep the DEI this round or Next round. The gap in income is now around 45, beginning of round 9, but TUV is increasing round by round, never a good sign.
If the season ended in two months I would continue this game, but I believe I have about a 20% win chance in this game. Therefore it is better to surrender now
