Italians collect 13 PUs (1 lost to blockades); end with 13 PUs total -
UK had taken CR & DD as hits in their attack on IT fleet in SZ97, and only loaded carrier remained. So IT attacked carrier with just sub so fighters couldn’t participate. Carrier was damaged and it’s planes had nowhere to land, so they were destroyed. This was offset by the Axis first bad die rolls, where 2 IT Fighters were destroyed by a single cruiser, which survived. Italy can’t afford to lose all its fighters on the first turn. The Luftwaffe will have to save the day.

Two quick things. Ask me for scrambles in the future, as I could have scrambled Maltese aircraft. The other thing is that a unit must use its entire move to activate a pro-axis/allied neutral, so the tank can’t end its turn there. Unless you want to discuss to clarify, please edit to move a unit from Albania to Bulgaria and have the tank in Bulg end elsewhere. I don’t like to nit-pick, but IDK what strategy you could be setting up. Thanks!

The operative word is airbase and Malta doesn’t have one.
I looked at the ancient Romans etc. game, but decided against playing it. I like to play Punic War games. But A&A version has too many unit types and each country has a different icon for the same type unit. And their stats may not be exactly the same for a unit type. So too much referring to a table for what the units were and their strengths.

Well shoot maybe ive been playin it wrong. I sent a PM to Gamerman to double-check. Will the answer affect G2? If so i can send out a few PMs to big wigs or scour forums. Yeah the first game i had to have a little patience to keep checking battle calc to see what was what. But i like that most sides have unique units plus the Hard AI is actually pretty competent in this version. No, im not playing forum but i might try it soon if i keep liking it.

G2 will be sending at least 3 F and 2 TB to sink the CR near Malta even though you can’t scramble, because they are redeploying and it’s on the way to their destination.
As proof that Malta or any isle without an airbase can’t scramble, no scramble dialog box appeared. So it’s not an option. -
Regarding your claim that activating friendly neutral must occur on the entering units first movement space: Europe 1940 v2 rulebook p. 10 Friendly neutrals and p. 22 Phase 4 Noncombat move; Where units can move; Land units, neither contain any such restriction. There is a movement restriction on p. 34 under Transports, whereby loading units can’t move before loading or after unloading. Nevertheless, I will edit the game at your request, as it won’t affect my plans.

Random dice may be more exciting than low luck, but both Triplea and WarClub Marti often roll extreme hits or misses. Wish there were some middle ground option. GER bombed UK with 4 bombers and half were hit by AA, 3 times the odds. The remaining bombers and 2 TB rolled only 1,5,1,and 2 for a negative battle result. In a prior game, 3 bombers suffered no AA hits and rolled 2 sixes and total damaged exceeded the 20 point limit.
