Same information, different order.
I tried as much as possible to be clear in this new edited version.
Even the second post of this thread is just a more formalized way inspired by OOB 1942.2 written rules, which say same things than first opening post but with all words of official rules.

The other day I was reading about some altermate rules for Pacific, changing taking away the U.S. factory from Hawaii, and having Japan capture both Australia and India, but I cannot find the the topic anymore…can anyone help me?

It also includes U.S. not starting with its initial IPC’s. I tried it once. My friend was playing Japan. After the British sank two of his battleships, he gave up. However, I think i would have done better.
