Brain fart not retreating as Italy. I was thinking that most of the force had come amphibiously!
You had about a 95% battle with Germany if you were willing to lose planes. Heck, you had already spent 53 German IPCs and 76 Italian IPCs (that’s net, after counting UK losses) to weaken it.
