    Awesome,

    Those Expansions triggered our enthusiasm for Axis & Allies on a massive scale.

    We found them in a board game shop in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1993 - shortly after we purchased Axis & Allies (Classic) - and naturally we purchased them immediately.

    These Expansions brought us tons of fun & challenge - and tons of ideas - supported by our interest in WWII History - and we kept developing more Expansion rules over the years.

    I suggest that you take a look at the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion.
    It might bring back some of your memories from the early days of your Axis & Allies games.
    This Expansion is originally based on the Expansions from Gamers Paradise - and World at War by Xeno Games.

    Years ago when Larry Harris encouraged Axis & Allies players to use House Rules - we decided to honor his statement by creating the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion as well as the Axis & Allies Global 1943 Expansion.

    The old lobby and Marti servers will be shut down imminently. unfortunately we have no precise time table. the time range i have been given is “tomorrow, or it’ll be a month from now. I’m guessing will be tomorrow at this rate.”

    This as a major, required, and backward compatible release. It’s required so we can discontinue old resources that are costing the project a significant fraction of our total expenses.

    Downgrading the lobby will save $10/month and removing old MARTI will be $25/month (in exchange for new MARTI that costs $5/month).

    There’s no reason I can think of to not upgrade. Maybe worth mentioning that save games are expected to work well (but maps are looking to be a problem area and may need re-install).

    You should be able to save all that trouble by going file -> post PBEM/save whatever. Or, you can save the file File->Save and upload that to the game thread.

    Thank you for providing the details! So we have battleship, infantry, bomber vs bomber, 2 fighters.

    Very interesting moves, I was completely blindsided. I’m lucky the British fighters hit.

    Of course you are right to stop and ask.
