Hi, all. Another White Tower mini con is coming up April 14th, 2007 in Wheeling WV. Come and get a game or several in. $5.00 at the door free to play A&A and most of the non-tourney things.
There are two more tournaments open for signups at AAMC.
First, there is the Komp’s Tech War Tournament. This is a special, tech heavy alternate rule set developed by AAMC a few years back. The tournament is always a lot of fun. Sign up here: http://aamc.net/bunker/forumsql/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=245
If you follow the links, you will see the details for the rules. Kremlin gives you all kinds of options to start the game. Things like early landings in WAfrica, having Turkey, Switzerland or other neutrals starting the game as your ally, adding a battleship to the South Atlantic for Germany and many, many more. It can completely change the playout of the game and because the restricted Tech rules, Technology will likely not play as bid a role as it can in regular 2nd Edition games. Give it a try and you’ll see that it makes the game a very different one.
specifically doug, dan and jon - and any others:
I want to host an A&A revised game at my place on some saturday or sunday within the next month or two.
send me your schedules in the next couple of days, and i’ll try to rig something up.
pizza and beer on me,
and Dan - i may need to borrow your board - we’ll see.
This is an informal game of Axis and Allies Revised and/or other A&A games at this Con. I f enough interest is generated I will run a tournament next year. I plan to run an Axis and Allies Revised tournament at Dragonflight
This year, another Gaming Convention in Washington somewhere near the Seattle Area (within an Hours drive.) More information on that later. This is the 1st time I am going to ConQuestNW so I do not have an idea how many people will show up. Pre registration for ConQuestNW is more than actually attended last year.
I will post a note on how it went.
This is exciting! Watched a bunch of Gary & Doug discussing tournaments via Board Game Nation’s play-by-play and livestream chats from '23 thru '25 and have been bitten by the bug to give a tournament a first try. Live near Pittsburgh so Dayton is well within range.
