Seen it … killed it. My personal favourite is Germany building a CV & TRN. in the Baltic sz. Once saw the US build ICs in CHI & SSI on US1! I was Germany, so my partner had the pleasure. :lol:

I’ve seen a variety … from 8 INF in E EUR or UKR down to 2 INF in LIB.
Some folks try 2 INF in KWA or FICB. But most want to turn Germany more offensive(your example, too.)

One thing that bugs me in the rules is … if you have FTRs on a CV in the UK sz, for example, and are attacked, losing the CV, but FTRs survive, they have one movement point to reach the UK, W EUR or F/N! If they were in the fight(which is highly probable) then they would not have fuel to reach safety. But, IT’S JUST A GAME! :wink:

Tech as Russia? Why not build a carrier while you’re at it? With the no move for russia on T1, if you don’t put every single piece and build in Karelia except for 1 infantry in the Caucus you’re asking Germany to hammer you. Even if you do it’s about a 50/50 battle for Karelia…

Seriously though, if you are winning why bother with techs? If you can see the writing on the wall and you know it’s a matter of time then perhaps you might roll for techs in particular if you have air power. I was the USA and had a fleet of transports weakly defended but out of range of german air, the germans got long range and all of a sudden that fleet was in range and was sunk. The germans knew it was a matter of time once the convoy system got started to norway that he was doomed,

I saw Germany building an IC on AES on G1 (T1 in the post.) IMPOSSIBLE.
I saw Japan building 2 ICs on Australia(What a WASTE!) and it’s
ONLY 1 IC per TERRRITORY per the rules.

It’s a simple game :roll: made from a complex war.
The game has gone through it’s own evolution to be a GREAT GAME!
Try it your way a few times if you want.

But, it would benefit the Allies at UK sz and other places after that.

Xi kindly clarified for me in another thread that you couldn’t build an IC with money from the bid. Are there any other bidding related tournament rules?

what happens if you’re bid doesn’t divide exactly into new units? which country gets the remaining IPCs? axis players choice i presume? can you buy tech rolls with the IPCs? what about AAs (not that you’d want to, but still)? Can you place newly purchased fighters on ACs? can you place german units on japanese starting positions and vice-versa?

Are there 3rd Edition Rules for the A&A Boardgame? I heard that there are 3rd edition rules for the computer game, though I have no idea about the validity of this statement. If so could somebody please post a link to such rules?

The bomber then has to land either in syria or egypt. Do it, i still have one tranny to reach you there . So: yes, i can lose the newly built tranny, but the UK will lose more if they want to take it.

The bomber can land in Syria. Then bring troops from India and Egypt (leave 1 INF in Egypt to block a blitz). Then you can only get the bomber with 2 INFs, BB and planes. Plus the Allies can take risks and absorb the losses better while they are in better economic situation. :x

I think this happens in general when you fight the sea battle and try to land on enemy controlled territory. You can do it in the combat movement, but you’re stuck in the combat phase. :evil: But it seems someone has develop a dice cheat for cd. That put the end to cd playing :cry: but we don’t have to put up with the bugs anymore. :)

No. On a SBR the only thing that can shoot at a BMR is an AA gun.
-BMR flies to SBR the IC.
-Any territory that has an AA gun which the BMR flies over on the way to the IC gets to roll one die per plane. 3 BMR = roll 3 dice, add the #s, the defender returns that # of IPCs to the bank. :)

If 1 BMR is hit only 2 get to SBR the IC. 2 BMR = 2 dice, add the #s, the defender returns that # of IPCs to the bank. :)

In one variation of the game the BMR can be shot at on the return route if it passes over an AA gun. But, for example, if the UK BMR flies from UK to Germany, is missed by the AA, bombs and flies to Russia there is no second chance for the BMR to be hit.
I do not like this variation. In the regular game, the limited bombing and limited retaliation give you a simple idea of a complex war. Why try to make the game more difficult? If you want that GET A HARDER GAME!

In a second variation friendly FTRs can escort and enemy FTRs can intercept the BMRs. But again, it just makes it more complex. And do you allow the FTRs to intercept and fly attack missions or not?
