In my youth I experimented a LOT with models and live fire.  Bottle rockets were a popular choice, as was all of the black powder and high grade powder that I had access to because of muzzle loaders and shotgun shell reloading.

Problem with live-fire models:
Bottle Rocket exhaust instantly ignites LARGE areas of plastic models
Even modest amounts of black powder rupture plastic model gun barrels

I burned up a LOT of models…  :mrgreen:

BDY- I was reciently in a similar situation, I was hit and filed a claim with the guys insurance.  His insurance tried to drag things out.  I could never seem to get a hold of the adjuster and when I did she would tell me that I needed to do this or that.  Fortunately I have a prepaid legal service for just this type of thing.    So I left a message saying that I was tired of dealing with her company and and my legal representative would be contacting her.  I wasn’t bluffing in my case, I had contacted them to get the ball rolling.  Funny thing is all the things she “needed” before she could process the claim sudenly weren’t nessacery any more.  So I was able to cancel the action before it started.

You never know, if you word it right a good bluff could get you somewhere…

but now the computer came from the same conneticut town that houses the HQ for the wrestlers.  and this guys ex wife died on the 15th also under mysterious circumstances.

also, why would he send text messages?  why not call and speak?  perhaps b/c he was already dead, and some people wanted to tie up some loose ends, so they text message.

Not just an issue with the mental problems.

Consider that in an all volunteer force, people want to deploy to war zones. (really)  Now realize that there are a whole host of self reported medical issues that can potentially keep you from deploying.

If you want to deploy, are you going to mention your asthma or are you going to pack along a 180 day supply of treatment?

I know that about half the folks on my volunteer list were more in the 90% range physically than 100% but I also knew that they had the drive and desire to ignore or work through the various aches and pains.  I was doing the same thing.  800mg of Motrin every evening before bed was what allowed me to work the hours required.

PTSD?  I don’t expect any of my sailors will self-report on that until after they retire.  In the mean time I just make sure they all know I have a spare bedroom and will listen for as long as they want to talk.

Not a something I’m interested in.

Rock climbing, parachuting, etc are not that interesting to me.  I suspect I have had enough honest to God close calls in life that I don’t go looking for them as part of my entertainment.  None of those activities compare to the rush of taking enemy fire.  Willingly going into a combat zone knowing that your job is to perform a specified task regardless of whether you live to come home is enough of an adrenaline rush for me.

Add the lack of boobies and it just does not draw my interest.

Nah.  I’m having a guy take a look at it on Wednesday.  I figure it’s prolly done for, which isn’t a bad thing considering I do have the money to replace it.
