Enemy destroyers don’t keep planes from hitting subs.  Friendly destroyers enable planes to hit subs.  If there is no destroyer friendly to the firing air unit in the battle, the air unit’s hits cannot be applied to subs.  This is always true, whether for attacking or defending.

You move your own fighters independently of the carrier.  They take off before either unit moves, so they both begin movement in the same sea zone.  Both fight in any battle(s) they end up in, which could be the same one or different ones.

Fighters on your carrier that belong to another power on your side stay on the carrier when it attacks and are treated as cargo.  They may not fire and may not be taken as casualties.  If the carrier they’re on is destroyed, they’re destroyed along with it.

1.  No.  The number of bombardments you have is limited to the number of ground troops you bring. (One transport = 2 bombards MAX).
2.  No.  Only your infantry can unload this turn.  You have to wait for your friendly ally’s turn for him to unload.
3.  Yes, they do get to fire back.

Corsica was Vichy, but in 1942 Hitler got pissed off and took alot of their allowance away because they kept waving white flags when the Allies attacked them. Corsica was administered by Germany but its really in the Italian sphere of influence.

i know its nov 42, but still close enough… if your more of a purist then just give Sardinia 1 IPC but call the actual land territory

Yes, just as all of the land units must retreat to the same territory in a land battle.

I like AA50 better.  We actually succeeded with a Kill Japan First strategy in the 1941 scenario, which I didn’t initially think was possible, which made for an exciting pacific game, for once.  I love the inclusion of Italy, and the way research is conducted means that people buy it and inevitably a couple players will get technologies, which makes every game different.

AA50 is a sight better than Revised in my opinion, and is worth the money.  I can’t think of any changes from Revised to AA50 that I wouldn’t consider an improvement.

Maybe I am just to hardcore, but I bought an extra copy of AAP so I could have an extra set of FLEET MARKERS!  The Fleet markers from Axis & Allies Pacific should solve your problem of crowded sea zones…  AND they look really cool on the board as task groups.

I recommend borrowing them from your AAP game OR buying a copy just for these FLEET MARKERS.

I completely forgot about those markers.  I will bring them up at our next game, great idea, thanks.  Though, I still would rather play the game on something that is more map like and less of a board.  This is one of the reasons I draw out the PlayersAid maps.  I believe one guy in my group would play on a checker board if we would let him.  So it boils down to personal taste, of how you like to play your game.  I still love IL’s idea of playing in a replica German bunker while dressed as a Field Marshall, while arriving in his own cabrolet!!  LOL-Now, that is a game I would like to be in on…

Me and my friend play a lot of Axis and Allies and recently updated to the Anniversary Edition.  I have noticed that doing the banking seems to take a large portion of time so i set out to write a program to do most of the work.  The program automatically calculates all incomes and purchases, all that is necessary is selecting which territories have been captured.  I have finished the program, and although still in beta stages, it has proven to be very useful.  I would like to get the program out to others so they can test it and see if they like it.  It is programmed in java so it will work with any OS, and I would be more than happy to make it available for download if people are interested.  If you are interested just email me at DKat106@charter.net.  I also must note that the program is still in development stages, so random errors may occur but I am working on it daily and at this point it is very stable and most errors have been corrected.  Any suggestions for additions or changes would be great.  Let me know.  Thank you.
