Jenn changed the minimum # of games about a month ago - there might be a minor and major playoff (cutoff of 12 games played or something like that), but anyway, to answer your question, it’s
Win % and Win % only
The points are purely a “side-show”, for fun and informational purposes only - to help players know where they stand.  Points reflect strength of the competition played.  Points are totally unofficial.  See also the first couple posts of my rankings thread for explanation

3.Will the league continue while the playoffs are on the move(and those league games transferred to next season?)

Absolutely.  The league always continues nonstop.  Players who qualify for the playoffs will start their playoff games in November, but they could simultaneously be playing regular league games.
Games in progress on 11/1 will just carry over to the next year.  Any game finished between 11/1/13 and 10/31/14 will count in that league year.

Bold, please understand that there is a world of difference between supporting someone’s decision and supporting someone’s right to make the decision. Do I agree with what he did: no. But, I support his right to be able to do so. It’s like the political loonies on cable TV. I don’t support 99% of what any of them say, but I wholeheartedly support their right to say it.

ok i get it.  thanks zigg.  i agree he has the right to say whatever he wants to as well.  i just vehemently disagree with what he is saying.  ironically, i believe he is trying to use the rules to game ME (meaning myself).  :-)  problem is, he also has contradicted himself in the process.
