  Its just a freaking cover name for a number of other box of plastic junk that came in boxes with rules and map, etc. It means nothing and only applies to Milton Bradley games of this type.

  @The_Good_Captain Here is the “Phase 1: Advance Convoys” section of the rules in the latest version of the Rulebook (which I don’t believe has yet been posted):

  All of your reinforcement land units and supply tokens in the Casablanca and Mediterranean convoy sea zones must advance into the corresponding ports now (with two exceptions, see below). You must also move your air units in those same convoy sea zones up to 2 spaces to land in friendly-controlled territories (possibly including the convoy’s destination port). Any air units that cannot land are immediately destroyed. The presence of enemy units in the convoy sea zone does not interfere with this movement.

  On the United Kingdom’s turn, land and air units and supply tokens in the Suez Canal convoy sea zone advance to Cairo, while sea units there advance to sea zone 31.

  Movement out of the above convoy sea zones in this phase doesn’t count against these arriving units’ movement allowance (see “Land Unit Movement," page 15, and “Air Unit Movement” and "Sea Unit Movement,” page 16), so they may move and fight normally in the remainder of your turn.

  Sea units do not move with convoys into ports. They only move under their own power.

  On the UK’s turn, all of the units in the Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean convoy sea zones must then follow the arrows and advance into the next convoy sea zone. These units may not move further in this or any other phase of the same turn.

  Exception: If a convoy arrival fills the destination port to capacity (the stacking limit, see page 10), any excess land units are stuck in the convoy sea zone until there is room for them to arrive in a future turn (assuming they survive until then). To avoid overloading a port territory, you may wish to hold reinforcements for later convoys (see “Phase 6: Deploy Reinforcements and Assign Convoy Escorts,” page 25), but if you are sure you’ll take some convoy losses, sending excess units might work out.

  As you can see, air units in the Suez Canal convoy sea zone must advance to Cairo.

The overall idea is that after you take Egypt, you can pressure Stalingrad from three sides – the Germans push through Ukraine with tanks, the Italians push through Jordan with infantry, and the Japanese push through India with a few land units and a lot of fighter support.

  There are interesting opportunities for a 1-2-3 knockout blow. E.g., Germans barely take Stalingrad but can’t hold it; this prevents Russia from building there, which limits how many units they can deploy next turn. Russia retakes Stalingrad, barely, but can’t afford to retake it hard because they also have to guard Moscow against German tanks in Ukraine. Japanese take Stalingrad against the weakened Russian defenses, accepting fighter plane losses to get more land units into the territory, and then Italy sends a couple of tanks and a couple of fighters to reinforce – now Russia can’t take back Stalingrad at all, and Japan is producing 2 inf + 2 tnk every turn right next to Moscow. This is basically game over for Allies even if by now the British have taken Norway & Finland and even France.

  I wanted to get your opinion on the Green Skies strategy. Currently, we have been playing without the interceptor rule. My dad recently discovered this strategy and implemented it against me.

  So over the last few days I have uncovered some discussion on here from the good captain as well as his video on it and he says Green Skies breaks the game without interceptors.

  I wanted to pick your brain to see if you agree with this or if you have developed any counters for this or if you just play with interceptors. I realize some errors in my last game so I have much to improve and want to start there before demand the optional rule :P but still wanted to see what your thoughts are!

  Howdy, you get what you put into it, the figure cards reminds me of the minis, in the old Buck Rogers in the 25th. Century Game.
  You can always House Rule the game, to one’s delight. I plan to RoundRobin it, in the near future(another post, another day).
  I already gotten some minis from my old die casts Triacs and Vrocs sets.
  Adding to the game fighter bombers, hover copters, VTOL Fighters that operate from the Cruisers, Recon. Jeeps, and, a “Sour Grapes” land missile carrier.
  You can order the Bucket of Modern Air and Sea Forces, where you can pick up some nice nuke attack submarines.
  Also APCs and Hover tanks, from Fortress America and transports from A&Allies Games.
  Supplements of Forces will add more spice to your gaming, it work wonders for the old Buck Rodgers game.
  My RoundRobin will only use the original units of eight, that came with the game.
  After all Zvezda used the Command and Colors system quite nicely for some of their games.
  G.I. Joe powered by Axis and Allies rules will go quite nicely, give it time.
  Who knows what the future brings, Lord of the Rings Battle of the Five Armies powered by Axis and Allies would be interesting, thanks, Pellulo

  @Krieghund Thank you for the swift reply. I don’t think that thought crossed my opponent’s mind (we usually play Global, so the idea of attacking Germany…and leaving oneself open to counterattack…is not on the radar).

  Zombies is a different game.

  Yeah. I’m playing rated games.

  I’m going to try to narrow down and clarify my question a bit. I’m having problems figuring out how to deal with an opponent who, as Germany, is only concerned with establishing unassailable strongpoints in France and Karelia. Without concerning himself with putting much pressure on Russia or getting at Caucasus for the first 5-10 rounds.
  Their MO is to use their planes in France and W.E. to disrupt my Atlantic Fleet logistics, stockpile ground units in France, Germ, and Karelia. To avoid land battles altogether with Germany, and wait for Japan to expand, however long it takes. With a 9 city technical victory being one goal. Although the better players can ignore India and win by getting Kazakh/Caucasus etc.
  I don’t lose every single game like this, but whenever I hit the Gold Tier, it seems that I run into this strat a lot and I can’t figure out the best way to proceed.
  I’m leary of strategies that require me to focus on attacking enemy strongpoints in any strategy game. But I can’t figure out if there is a better way to break this without just piling on Finland. And the clock is always ticking for the VC decision.
  Is stacking Finland a necessity? Or do I just need to get better at everything else, and learn to incorporate a Med shuck and/or a blend of other strategies?

  @Galendae if getting it cheap it´s not that stupid. I never do a 11 inf buy with russia. I like the Arti or some fast movers to threaten Finland.

  Yes my buy is also 6inf and fighter or 7 inf and tpt (for S-Afr).
  Can you outline in a video or step by step your UK1 please so I have it right. Bc fighters on gibraltar are useless against I1 of G2 attacks on the UK fleet bc no airbase there. Only fighters on the carrier can make it back.

  It seems you missed a critical line in my first post: “The Russian player tried to trap those troops by provoking the Revolution with a withdrawal from Livonia and the Liberation of Ukraine.”

  My question relates to this very special scenario Russia trying to trap the Austrian troops AND provoking the revolution.

  Question is: Would you accept the armistice in these special circumstances described above or not? yay or nay?

  Are the territories/boarders for 1941 identical to Zombies? Are the Industrial Complex location/types identical? Are all the territory values the same?

  There are some small differences between the boards. The most important is the recruitment centers (infantry only factories) in India and Sinkiang.

  You can just play the game without the Zombies. You can download on TripleA with the map, “Zombies-World War 2” and then play World War 2 v7.

  @Krieghund thank you for compiling this! It’s quite handy as I craft a set of pieces for Global War 1936; I’m glad I’ll have the IS-2s & Tiger Is from multiple 1941 sets for the Soviet & German heavy armor!

  Maybe it’s just me, but I think the penalty for Allies attacking neutrals should be way more severe. Like more money or money each time an ally attacks a neutral. Perhaps each Axis player gets so many militia units.
